Do you remember what it was like when you bought your first home?  Imagining how your furniture would look in each of the empty rooms-  how your dream became a reality?    

  For the past 20 years, Habit for Humanity- Hernando has been partnering with families and local businesses to help make those dreams come true.  We celebrated our 20th anniversary in business in Hernando County last month.  Of course like any non- profit, we would not have been able to celebrate our success of building 36 homes since 1993 without the support of volunteers who provide their tireless dedication to our efforts.  We are grateful to individuals and local business who generously contribute to our mission.

  Are you interested in making the dream of home ownership come true for families here in Hernando County?  There are several other volunteer opportunities available within our organization with varied responsibilities we’re certain there’s something for everyone.

  The planning for the annual Building Hope for Hernando – Hero’s Gala is underway.  This event paid tribute to our own Hero’s in Hernando County who work quietly and many times without recognition doing good in our community.  Sponsorship packages are available now and event ticket sales will be kicking off in September.
