The Hernando Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1982 with 13 musicians. 

Some of the finest musical talents in the area are members of the orchestra.  Our orchestra consists of about 40 musicians who contribute their time and talents to make Hernando Symphony an orchestra that has already made its mark.

Currently, we have openings in the following sections: Violin, Viola, Cello, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, French Horn, and Percussion. An audition is required and must be scheduled in advance with the conductor. Audition will consist of a short prepared piece of your choice and some sight reading.
