Music & Art Festival , January 22, 2017

Music and Art Festival in Weeki Wachee.  Sunday, January 22nd.

Fun for the whole family!  And it's FREE!

On the more serious side, hear the Hernando Youth Orchestra play some classical music favorites, as you enjoy the creative efforts of Hernando's best  oil painters, a nature photographer who is a stringer for National Geographic, a poet known for her complex poetry, and even an award-winning winemaker.

And there's more!

On a lighter note, Florida's favorite storyteller has promised to share some of his kid-friendly tales with us, a caricaturist can create a take-home souvenir to remind you of your fun family day, and several other musicians will entertain.  We may even have a drum circle!

But that's just for starters.   Plan on spending the afternoon.

When:    Sunday, January 22nd

               1:30-5:30

Where:  The Heather Community Center

              9100 Nakoma Way, Weeki Wachee

Host:      The Unitarian Universalist Church in the Pines

Instrument Donations For Hernando Youth Orchestra - It’s spring cleaning time again. If you’ve found a musical instrument you don’t want and you would like to donate to a worthy cause, HYO would be very appreciative. We accept most instruments (calliopes and Kazoos need not apply!) We’ll pick them up, fix them up, and put them in the hands of our young musicians. Call 352-600-9555 for pick up.

We will, of course, provide you with a tax deductible receipt. For more information, go to www.HernandoYouthOrchestra.org
