    This post is dated and we won the effort to stop the new mine. But do not rest; the county commission is vetting a new land use plan and the new plan sets out an easy path to approve land use changes to allow mining. Contact the county commission and tell them you don't want any new mining in Hernando, and especially not a process to do so in the new land use plan. We have enough mines approved for the next 100 years here.
