Operation Christmas Child

We send shoeboxes filled with necessities such as soap, washcloths, toothbrush, toothpaste, school supplies, clothing and a few children in war-torn impoverished nations. Many times this is the first gift these children have ever received. These children have lost their homes, their family members and many are orphans. This simple gift-filled shoebox helps to put a smile on the faces of these children who have had very little joy in their lives.

Last year, Hernando County packed 5,000 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. The average cost of each shoebox is $25.000. $12,500 was spent right here in Hernando County boosting our local economy!
